Freedom & Manifestation ⊹

Freedom, quite possibly my favorite word, can be translated and defined in endless ways.

To some, it’s as simple as inhaling fresh air, the cool feeling of oxygen expanding their lungs at full capacity and warming their nostrils and bellies as it leaves. To others, freedom means paying off debt, obtaining a plot of land or maybe quitting their jobs to pursue what they truly love.

To all of us, I think, freedom is about embracing a little bit of both; both the simple freedoms and complex.

But ultimately, this is what freedom feels and looks like to me:

The wind softly brushing my hair, like a mother (nature) soothingly combing her daughter’s wild mane. Me atop my faithful horse and best companion, gazing out towards the vast landscape containing a whole bunch of untamed wild; endless trees freckling the land, broad shouldered mountains as far as the eye can see, green hills, a body of water and my homestead nestled in the middle of it all. My family, my home, my own little community of like-minded loved ones around us. Around this small reserved part of the Earth just for us. My thriving garden and loving animals adding to the joy that is already so abundant there. My beautiful, warm nest that is fulfilled by a feeling of overflowing love. And here I am, looking down upon it all. At the grace that God has given me. That I gave myself. Gratitude. Balance. Alignment. And of course, the few but dedicated passions I hold; giving spiritual healing to a small circle of clients, being a homemaker and provider, and… writing. Writing got me here. I write because I know it’s what I’m meant to do, what God and I agreed on when I came to Earth in this body as Adeline Janke. And that alignment with all things that light my soul up in a soothing and glowing way that cannot be faked, that beautiful exchange with God has created this abundant life right before my eyes. And all I needed to do was surrender into it.

This, this is ultimate freedom to me.

I’m curious, reader, genuinely and eagerly curious to know; what’s your vivid description of freedom look like?

Welcome back to my blog, dear reader. I’m so so happy that you’ve found yourself here and I can’t wait to start this journey with you all again.

My blog was one of the funnest things I did for myself a couple of years ago and I am overjoyed to be bringing it back. Connecting with you all⎯near and far⎯in this form of media and expression is such a blessing. I hope you’re all well and pursuing the things that light your fire, make you feel free and alive like nothing else does. Because what would life be if we weren’t?

It’s as simple as that, really. If you aren’t striving for ultimate freedom in your life, you’re trapped. But freedom isn’t something we necessarily need to chase either. It’s not like your other goals⎯money, muscles, or a dirt bike⎯freedom is something that actually already lives within your own being. Your own skin, your mind and soul that’s reading this right now. The freedom you so desperately want is already here. Wild right? And you might’ve heard this before, that freedom comes from within and you’re only as free as you believe yourself to be, but I want to talk about this in a new angle. The angle that can be overlooked by a lot of spiritual teachings.

I want to give you all permission right now to look at all of the things in your external world and notice anything that makes you feel trapped, unhappy or unfulfilled. Because yes, we are ultimately spiritual beings having a human experience, but we are HERE on Earth to create balance, joy and peace both within and outside of ourselves. It’s not fair to expect yourself to just be ok with living smaller than what you’re actually capable of simply because it’s more humble. You shouldn’t have to just accept your life because someone else has it worse than you and ‘everything you need comes from within.’

These are great practices and often the first ‘aha’ moments down your spiritual path, I know they were mine. And honestly, as great as it is to be simply grateful for what you have, sometimes it’s ok to be unpleased with how things are in your external reality. ALL of it is valid or else it simply would not be.

This is balance in its truest form.

We feel upset, unsatisfied or uncomfortable in the box we’re in so our souls can continue to grow and evolve⎯our whole purpose of being here. You see? So don’t judge yourself for feeling unhappy with the amount of money in your bank account. It feels like shit when you’re living paycheck to paycheck. You KNOW your soul is capable of so much more abundance. Abundance in wealth. Abundance in connection. Abundance in freedom.

So yes, freedom comes from within, but it also comes from what you are able and willing to create for yourself. If you know instinctually that you’re capable of so much more ______ and you aren’t currently living that reality, you’re gonna feel lost, confused, and trapped.

But here’s the thing, here’s the key.

It STARTS from within. I’m not dismissing those spiritual teachings or lessons, as they are SO correct and we should keep them as our foundation, but we must not stop there. Your wild imagination, your blissful, beautiful freedom that you allow yourself to feel on the inside is AMAZING and it’s real. So real that the Universe can feel it too. You’re adding to the Universe with your aligned, freedom-feeling energy. You are the alchemist, you see. When you create that positive space of freedom within, the Universe will sense that and fill it with something in your EXTERNAL reality. But it does have to start with you, it has to start within. This is how manifestation works.

Pretty simple right? It might seem hard looking at it from the outside, but if can you truly realize the ultimate power that YOU as the alchemist hold, things start to just flow. You start to understand this energetic transaction that is constantly happening between you and the universe. That you’re BOTH apart of it. Manifesting starts to feel… effortless. Because you’re not limiting yourself anymore. You can literally feel this power beaming in your chest. It’s that discovery that can literally transform your life. Transform YOU from the inside out.

Discovering this energy inside of me was what actually kicked off my spiritual journey when I was 16. I felt I had just cracked the code to, quite literally, everything. I had it all figured out. And you do! When you’re in alignment with this powerful energy inside of you, you have the understanding that life is meant to actually be easeful, and that everything happens for you, not to you, it’s amazing what opens up.

Life opens up. Your mind opens in ways you didn’t know it could. You start to see the world differently. Not just as a thing we’re living in, but as a mystical and extraordinary playground. The love inside of you opens up and when that happens, that’s it. That’s freedom, my friends. That, I would say, is the purpose of life.

Wow, we just went there didn’t we? Pretty deep topic, but one that I am so extremely passionate about. And why wouldn’t I be? I’m sure you can feel something inside of you too when reading this. THAT’S the energy I’m talking about, my dear reader. You have it too. We ALL do and it is truly so beautiful.

I also just want to mention the power of thought. Feeling trapped can be an inside job as it can be an outside one. I think in more cases than not, we feel trapped from within for some reason (childhood wounds, trauma, blockages, negative stories/narratives, etc.) and that’s why we’re feeling trapped in our outside world. Truly what you feel is what you will fully experience, both on the inside and out.

Eat, Pray, Love is easily one of my top three favorite movies (right along-side The Secret Life of Walter Mitty and of course, if you know me, the Lord of the Rings Trilogy). In the movie, someone says you must pick your thoughts the way you pick your clothes every single day. And another quote I heard goes something like, when you can control your thoughts, that is when you have ultimate freedom. I fully believe that. Our thoughts can be the heaviest burdens. Learning to master your mind is mastering your life and when you reach that point, freedom feels like it should; your birthright.

That’s when you’re in a space of pure alignment. When manifesting becomes second nature and where you can play. Play with life, really. Because, yes, life is hard and has to be for it to be a worth-while journey for our soul’s evolution, but you MUST enjoy it to it’s full capacity too or else you’ll realize that you haven’t grown at all.

So, find out what freedom means to you, what it looks like⎯more importantly, what it feels like⎯and start taking your power back. You CAN live in that beautiful house that you dream about. You CAN buy your family a trip to Paris just because. You CAN live off of your art and you should. Because this is YOUR big, beautiful life, and it’s supposed to feel this way. When it does, that’s when your dreams happen. That’s when your growth happens because your dreams require you to step outside of your comfort zone.

Just for fun, I have a Pinterest board all about this feeling. I call it my ‘manifest’ board. It’s full of images and feelings that I can see that represent this feeling to me. I recommend you make your own manifest board and start getting serious on what you can see, hear, FEEL, and even smell in your ideal life. Have it as a reminder of what feeling you’re going for and soon enough, you’ll start to see it all unfold before you in ways you couldn’t imagine. This is what my board looks like:

Thank you for reading, I love you all, and I’ll see you in the next story.

Love, Adeline
